Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes! Everyone must sign a contract. It will protect both of us. We also ask you to sign a model release if you wish, although it’s not required we strongly recommend.

What are your prices?

Prices are always subject to change; please contact me for our most current price list.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No, I am one of the few photographers that does not charge a deposit before your session. I trust my clients will pay their session fee the day of their session. If a session fee is not paid in full the day of your session, I will not be expected to photograph. **See contract**

When is a payment due?

Your session fee will be due the day of your session, as well as a sign contract and model release (if you choose to sign that). You will then having a viewing/ordering session within 2-4 weeks where you can pay a minimum of half of your order total. The second half of your order total will be due the day of delivery. **Checks can not be post dated for any payments**

Do you offer payment plans?

I do offer payment plans. Please contact me for more information.

What type of payments do you accept?

Now accepting credits cards, cash and checks.

What if I need to make a change to my order?

The deadline for making any changes to your order is 24 hours. In order to get your order in timely manor I need to order within 24-48 hours after your meeting session. Any changes made after 24 hours, there will be an additional fee.

Do you have travel fees?

Travel is included into your session fee up to an hour away from my home location. Anything over an hour (according to Google maps) there will be an additional charge. Please contact me for more information.

Do you offer gift certificates?

YES!!! Gift certificates are perfect for every occasion! For a Mommy-to-be, purchase a maternity and newborn session or just a newborn session for their baby shower gift, a family for the holidays, a mother’s day present or even a birthday present.



What are your hours?

Monday thru Friday: 9am-9pm (I do have a full time job and work around that schedule) Saturdays: 10am-7pm Sundays: 11am-5:30pm

What type of sessions do you offer?

I specialize in newborn, maternity, high school seniors and families, but also offer, pets, professional headshots, select parties & sports (both action & portraits). A new service we offer is proms!

Is there a specific time that’s better to photograph?

In fact there is! The best time to be photographed is about 2 hours before sunset (depending on the location) I have mostly photographed in Congress Park, although we do photograph other places as well, I shoot to meet and start photographing by 5pm.

How far in advance should I schedule our session?

I prefer two weeks but in some cases I do understand things happen and you need to wait and schedule a little later. The sooner you schedule the better chances you have of getting the session on the date/time you’d like. I will do my best to accommodate you and your needs.

What if I need to reschedule?

24 hour notice is best, so I can reopen the date for anyone else interested. I do understand things happen last minute, someone is sick, something comes up unexpectedly, I do understand. I must know AT LEAST 2 hours before you session time (ex: appointment for 5pm I need to know by 4pm). Anything less than that you will be charged a session fee even though you will not be showing for a session.

Where should we take our pictures?

I suggest somewhere that has meaning for you and your family. Your home, a family members home, or maybe a location you spend a lot of family time or a park that is local to you.  This will make your pictures tell more of your story and have more meaning in the images.   If you don’t have an idea for a location just ask, I can recommend a few places based on what you’re looking for.

Where are you located?

I mostly photograph in the Saratoga Springs, NY area, but I do photograph as far as Broadalbin, Northville, Schenectady & everywhere in between.

What should I/we wear?

For seniors, I suggest something more casual and something dressier. Dressy doesn’t mean a 3 piece suit or a prom dress (although you can if you’d like to) just something like a shirt and tie for boys and a nice blouse or dress for girls. For family portraits, I highly recommend everyone NOT to wear the same exact shirts. It looks better to take one persons outfit and plan everyone else off of that. Avoid words and large logos because they can be distracting in your images. (Suggested for ALL sessions) Some great color combinations are:

  • White, taupe, pink or blue
  • Denim, gray, orange, & white
  • Navy blue, white & gray
  • Red, gray, black & white
  • Denim, plum, gray & chartreuse green
  • Black, denim & gray

Please feel free to ask about any other combinations, send me pictures of everyone’s outfits! I want to make sure everyone looks AMAZING!

What do you do if the weather is not cooperating?

I’m always checking the weather. The night before your session I will usually contact you, confirm up our date and time, if the weather isn’t looking too promising, I will suggest rescheduling. This is not mandatory that we reschedule right then and there, but it’s something to keep in mind throughout the night and the next day. I will usually try to keep an eye on the weather the next day and contact you a few hours before your session. We will make a choice to go through with session or reschedule for no additional charge, 2 hours before your session.


During the Session

We have some ideas for our session. Can we use them?

ABSOLUTELY!!! In fact I encourage it!! I feed off of you and your energy. If you’re excited and have ideas for your session, it makes me more excited. So please share your ideas with me, it will make your session more fun and memorable.

Can we go to multiple locations?

Of course! This is your session. I try to do as much as you’d like. I do recommend if we are going to change locations that it is somewhere close, as that will take away time from photographing.

How long does a session last?

Mini sessions are roughly 30 minutes, our full maternity, family, & regular senior sessions are roughly 1 hour, & senior plus & deluxe sessions are 2 hours.

Can we include our pet(s)?

Of course!! I encourage pets to be brought to family sessions, engagement sessions, etc. After all they are part of the family too. ***NO SPIDERS, SNAKES OR MICE!! PLEASE ASK ABOUT YOUR SPECIFIC PET FIRST (OUTSIDE OF A TRADITIONAL CAT OR DOG)*** It’s a good idea to bring a family member or friend to hold onto the pet while not being photographed.

Can I bring someone with me to my session?

You are absolutely allowed to bring anyone on the session with you. I just ask that they are not distracting or upsetting during the session. Senior sessions I encourage maybe bringing your best friend for some buddy photos (they are FREE with any senior session!).

What if my child isn’t cooperating?

I don’t have children but I have worked with them long enough to know if it isn’t happening with them, we can’t force it. You will be able to tell in the photographs and I know from experience you won’t love your images. I’m very flexible and understanding with this. We will do as much as we can and if they are done we can schedule another session or accept what we have. I do suggest feeding them a small meal before and for young children a nap before the session. Maybe bring a small non-messy snack for them to snack on if things are getting rough.

What does the photographer expect from parents during the session?

For younger children, I really need your help keeping them focused. When taking picture of children I need help getting them to look at the camera, or in a certain direction. It is very important that everyone remain calm and frustration does not show, children can sense that type of thing. We want the children to be calm and relaxed and have fun, that’s what the pictures are all about having fun; your images will turn out much better. For teenagers it’s also important to remain calm and not be frustrated or irritated with your child. Teenagers usually can’t stand their parents and tend to get irritated easily, so it’s important that we get them to have fun with the session and don’t stress them out either. The more fun we have with any session the better.


After the Session

You took so many pictures! Do you deliver every image you take?

I always take extra images just to be sure we have the perfect image. I then narrow down which ones are the best and only show you the best of the best.

Where do you do your ordering sessions?

This is a great question! I prefer to meet in the comfort of your own home. While in your home this is easier for me to give my professional opinion on where images would look perfect and what sizes to order. Although I am open to meeting in another location, such as a coffee shop.  I do own my own house now and am offering meetings there where all of my images are on display.

How long until we can see our images?

Average is 2-4 weeks. During our busiest time (Sept/Oct) it’s usually more towards 4 weeks. I do try my best to turn everything around as quickly as possible though.

How long does it take for us to get our package after we’ve placed our order?

Usually 2-3 weeks. This also depends on the time of year. Fall and before Christmas are usually the busiest for the lab.
